I am second generation American. Both sets of my grandparents immigrated from Europe. The only reason ICE isn’t going after them is because they are white. Whatever you are doing right now, is what you would have done in 1940’s Germany, think about that.

Also, I see this so much comparing what is happening now to nazi Germany. Please read a history book you have no idea how insulting that is. The majority of those affected by nazi regime considered themselves German. They were German citizens. They were rounded up and slaughtered. They weren’t sent back to their home country after sneaking in.

If your grandparents were the first in your familt to enter the United States, that would make you a third generation American.

I actually spoke to a holocaust survivor. This is happening exactly like Nazi Germany happened. Not everything that happened, only happened after the invasion of Poland. One of the biggest and most similar trends was calling the news fake and threatening to arrest journalists.

I’m sorry, I’m lead to believe that’s just not true. There are so many actual written accounts of how it happened. The survivor you spoke to would be claiming that all the others who have claimed they saw saw themselves as truly German and were German citizens are lying. Also, if calling news fake and saying they would arrest journalists was all it took, why is it only America being compared to the Nazis? It is a blatant misunderstanding of global history.

No it doesn’t lmao. Her name is Mary Wolman. Hitler and the Nazis had found the simple slogan they repeated again and again to discredit reporters: “Lügenpresse.” Today the extreme right in Germany has revived this term, which in English is “fake news.” Today Don Lemon was arrested for covering the church riot story. Other journalists been threatened prior

It’s not like is the “only thing” that makes America like Nazi Germany, plenty of countries are suffering from fascist-style tactics. Ukraine, Brazil, Sweden, they’ve all had a significant rise in nazism. The difference is, the governments there generally don’t engage in behaviors that endorse those ideologies like our government does here. We’ve had multiple republicans advocate for nazi style policies, Trumps admin has been very openly exposed for racial biases

And even the vice president follows a man on twitter who has said “I like Eugenjcs, like hitler did” and comments form the YR group chat that explicitly stated “I like hitler”

Today Don lemon was arrested for organizing a riot on a place of worship, which is federally protected. People at the riot were arrested as well. He is not the only one. It is very interesting to twist the story to demonize a group. I wonder who else did that.

There’s no evidence to suggest he organized anything. He showed up and was filming after it had already begun. If you can provide evidence he did, because being charged doesn’t mean he’s guilty, by all means go ahead. But it’s extremely interesting you didn’t want to address the Vice President of the United states REFUSING to condemn comments that explicitly read out “I like hitler”

I apologize I didn’t type fast enough for you. Some people have other things to do. These group chats are utterly disgusting. I don’t condone them. How about calling out the people who said it instead of everyone you disagree with? Or will you default back to calling them Nazis because they don’t think the same as you?

So no evidence for the Lemon claim? Nothing? “How about instead of pointing to examples where powerful figures in our government agreed or refused to take a stance against explicit nazism, you only target out and proud nazis?” Moronic logic.
