Replacing a 480 lumen bulb with an 800 lumen bulb has made my night time reading lamp so much better

Do you mind the LED or are you an old bulb fan?

LEDs are fine for me. Supposedly, the better ones have less flicker, but power is pretty stable here, and i use the walmart specials
