I’m gynosexual, meaning I’m attracted to all women regardless of their assigned sex at birth- the only issue, is that when it comes to trans girls, if they have a deep voice it’s an immediate turnoff to me, which may sound shallow, but I can’t control it.

I wish it wasn’t a big deal for me, because I’ve met/seen some BEAUTIFUL trans women.

But the minute they speak and sound like a man, I just can’t get past it.

They don’t sound like a man, they sound like themself. Would you feel the same way if a female feminine woman had the same deep voice?

They sound like a man because they are biologically a man tf 😭

I am a female biologically and I sound like a “man”. My friends/family are used to it and see my voice as a woman’s voice. Not everything is just black and white. A voice being assigned a gender is just a social construct, it’s literally just the difference between vocal cords being longer, shorter etc.

You don’t sound like a man you can have a deep feminine voice but not a man’s voice

I took testosterone, so yes, I do sound like a “man”. I don’t regret it but I do identity fully as a woman and with my birth sex (female). There are other female women out there who also have voices as deep as mine, for various other reasons such as medical conditions. Your point is flawed because again, assigning gender to a voice is a social construct.

It’s not tho you took something that made your voice resemble a man 🤷‍♂️

I mean, if you sound like a man I wouldn’t be attracted to you, either. Even if you’re biologically female.

My vocal cords went through the same exact process as any cis man’s does when hitting puberty, that is how hormones work. So yes I do have a “man’s” voice according to strangers. The point I am making is that it is purely a social construct whether a very deep voice is a man’s or a woman’s, meaning dependent on the societal norms. It is the same way we assign gender to inanimate objects, like calling a boat or a truck a “she”.

That is fair. I have another question if you’re willing. Would you be attracted to a man with a“woman’s” voice, if he also presented purely feminine?

I mean you sort of just said it yourself, men’s versus women’s voice is a matter of biology. I genuinely don’t think there’s anything wrong with you if your brain associates a deep voice with being a man and therefore finding it less attractive if you like women.

Our brains are built to recognize patterns and make preconceptions about people. There’s undoubtedly a correlation between voice and gender that isn’t a social construct. Your brain then when hearing a voice that is deeper then average will associate it with male traits subconsciously and you’ll find the person unattractive (if you’re attracted to women)

I don’t think you or #4 are really understanding what I am saying. Preferences are fine and I’ll leave it at that lol

Oh I understand what you’re saying. I’m just pointing out that it isn’t societies norms that establish a preconception of a voice being male or female, the human brain is just biologically wired to make preconceptions based on what you see in everyday life.
