The group who’s bible has pro slavery messages in it are trying to lecture you about morality lol
Genuine question for atheists: if God doesn’t exist, and there’s no afterlife, what’s keeping you from murdering/stealing/all other sins? Checkmate.

Can you share what verse you’re talking about

It’s objectively true that the Bible has verses where God endorsed chattel slavery in reference to child slaves

No. That’s your opinion since you lack context and original translations.

No. It’s actually not my opinion lol. Without looking it up, which verse mentions the selling of children?

I’m sorry are you asking me or yourself that, since you’re the one saying what you are saying?

It doesn’t surprise me you didn’t understand. Go ahead, answer! I’m waiting!

Your question is literally an ad hominem. You think because I can’t say the verse LETTER BY LETTER then that makes me unknowledgeable on the topic. Additionally I asked a clarifying question, to which you still haven’t answered.

Not an answer! Try again! I asked first and you now know it’s for you! So hurry up! If you’re too uneducated on the bible that’s fine, I can do it without looking it up. You just have to answer by telling me the verse or saying you don’t know!

Who gave you the authority to determine what can be an answer or not? I already said I don’t know the verse letter by letter. Nevertheless that doesn’t change the fact that all of the “slavery” verses you pull up, including or excluding children, are taken out of context. Probably because they are VERSES (phrases) instead of the entire chapter.

So no you don’t know! Got it! That’s all you had to say! Do you agree that chattel slavery is being owned as property in a dynamic you do not consent to?

Most “slavery” in the Bible that you are saying was indentured servitude, not chattel.

I’m aware of those differences. There’s a point to what I’m asking, you didn’t answer!

I’m not answering to your liking because I know you keep playing games. You don’t want to actually learn, thus your series of ‘loaded questions’.

Asking you if you agree with the way I’m defining chattel slavery, is loaded?

No. Asking series of trick questions where either pre-meditated answer would obviously discredit a person, like forcing moves in Chess, are loaded questions. In addition, you are looking for the answers from me that you already memorized in the shower for this very argument, to which I won’t do. Either you want to learn or you don’t.

It’s a trick question to ask you where in the bible I’m even referring to? Great excuse lol Define chattel slavery! Go ahead. I’m waiting

What is the relevance of asking the definition of chattel slavery?

Oh man; I wonder what the relevance would be in asking.

I wonder too, since God never condoned chattel slavery, meaning it has no place in this argument.

I’m arguing that he did! So yes it 100% has a place in this discussion. Go ahead. Define it. I’ll wait.

I promise you that whatever contradiction you think you found has not been ignored by The Church. My point was that I don’t think you know what you’re talking about.

1. It’s not some new revelation that the bible is inconsistent. So it’s weirdly disingenuous to imply I found them 2. My point is that there’s explicit verses where God endorsed chattel slavery which is factually correct

Sure, Exodus 21:4. Do you agree that chattel slavery is the owning of person as property without that persons consent?
