“Goy” is the Yiddish term for gentile. It just means non Jew. It’s sort of like the term gringo. It can be used in a derogatory way, but it’s not by definition derogatory at all

If you swap out Judism with any other religion and make the reason why they fight because of that religion with those in the US support that country because of that religion.
