make it better. Nothing I ever do is good enough for her, it pisses me off and it really makes me not want to ever show her anything I make.

I know this is really daunting, but maybe have a conversation with her? She may think her only role is to critique because she may think it’s helpful. Maybe just ask her to put the critiques aside and ask for her opinion of this piece itself.
