Blue. Red is the only one that adds death to the system. Every argument I’ve seen for Red has been “if everyone presses red nobody dies” which is dumb as shit. There’s never been a single time in human history where everyone did the same thing. There are only two optimal outcomes, 50%+1 Blue, and 100% Red. A majority Blue outcome is far more likely than a unanimous Red vote.

It’s a game theory problem. The altruistic prosocial thing to do is press blue and hope everyone else does the same, at personal risk m. If you’re not so sure, pressing red does ensure self-preservation..

Pressing red also shows an astounding lack of consideration for second-order effects. Even in a scenario where Red wins with 95% of the vote, which is still pretty much statistically impossible, that’d be a bigger % of the global population lost than WWII. A 60/40 Red outcome would basically destroy human civilization entirely.

Except you don’t have to hope EVERYONE does the altruistic thing, you only have to hope for a simple majority. 50%+1. Humans are a highly social animal, I have faith that most people would make the pro-social choice and hit the “nobody has to die” button. Hitting red saves yourself, but it only increases the risk that the other people die. Pressing red only contributes to the exact problem it seeks to escape.
