A month ago I woke up around 90, now I’m ~95. My thighs look bigger & clothes fit tighter. I used to restrict heavily (200-300 cals) & barely drink fluids. Now I’m eating more (600-700/day) and hydrating normally. Is this water weight or actual fat gain?

It might be both but weight gain for someone in your situation is a good thing because being only 95 lbs at 5’2 means your body has no fat to make energy from and so it is eating the protein in your muscles instead

smth that may help (but i understand isnt realistic or accessible for everyone) is getting clothes that fit u better at the weight u r now. itll encourage u to keep going seeing that u can look good & feel good at whatever weight u r & u wont feel like relapsing so much bc ur clothes dont fit

It’s likely both. I am so proud of you for fighting. I’ve been in your situation and I know how fucking hard it is to keep gaining weight when it goes against everything your brain is telling you. You deserve to be happy and at a healthy weight🫶

Honestly I came here for guidance because my brain is spiraling. I understand u may not understand, and I’m happy that you don’t. But there’s a reason why this disease kills so many. Please think before you speak.

But this weight gain is making me wanna relapse even harder now. I am going crazy. I don’t understand how I barely eat but I look so different. And I take laxatives to so I’m not even retaining much of it. Like why is this happening

I mean look I can’t say I have experienced your troubles but I can guarantee that eating less then you are now will not make you feel better, someone approximately your size should be eating ~1500 a day with moderate exercise.

Ik it’s a good thing but it’s so fucking scary. Like I’m supposed to go out with my friends Saturday and wear a short skirt and cropped top and I may cancel bc of this
