I think it’s bc of the emotion tied to the movements..they are fighting somtn rly bad and if you don’t condemn it, that’s understandably appalling to someone who’s already educated in how bad the thing is, especially if it has to do with human rights violations, war, etc. But ya part of being human is being wrong and learning from it. Purity culture moves ppl away from the movements that are meant to help us grow and change systems..totally agree w y that we need to communicate better
