some people be doing straight up cathinones (that's the drug commonly referred to as 'bath salts', yes, that's the eating other people's faces off bath salts) as pre workout and don't even know it. other pre workouts contain god knows what other synthetic stimulants. make sure you know what you're taking.

I have a gorilla mode pre-workout that’s creatine, pre-workout, and protein powder, and it has a very similar name

it is more complicated than that, it wasn't entirely the cathinones fault. that guy was already sick in the head. but they're still NASTYYYY drugs and pre workout companies have been found putting it in their pre workouts. along with many other synthetic research stimulants. cathinones are basically meth on meth. cal it meth^2.
