I graduated college, have two degrees and still getting rejected from literally almost every job I applied to, except the jobs that require the bare minimum. This is ridiculous.

I have two degrees too! I have been rejected from everything, including waitress positions.

The only job I could get was dishwasher.

That isn’t the point of the message. The point is with two degrees it should be easy to find a job regardless of your major.

Asked the chef last week if I could move up and he got excited....like him and the sous chef are going to teach me how to cook. I wouldn't have gotten a cooking job with my degree, but dishwasher worked. I had like 6 interviews over the summer and got no where. I'll be fine now. 🙂 👍

I've been washing dishes for 7 months and I've gained A LOT of muscle and a lot of pain. I made friends with everyone though. You just gotta start somewhere low even if you got a degree now.

I agree. There’s so many reasons why the outcome is this way, but no one’s ready to have that conversation without taking things so personally. Cause and effect is the number one reason tbh and prejudice against minorities is the reason why it’s so hard to find a job with a degree and ultimately the effect of this “cause” was that it effects everyone not just minorities. That’s what happens with a society/country can’t stick together over small things like race for goodness sake.
