Especially knowing that innocent people have been basically kidnapped and detained illegally for really no reason. From there your situation is even more uncertain, because they’ve deported US citizens illegally too, and those detention centers are badly run shitholes. I can see how someone would rather take the “evading a federal agent” charge and just focus on physically getting out of the situation with ICE
