also, for context, i’m failing his class (had a 98% after midterms, experienced burnout cuz i work full time also) anyways, i met w him bc i wanted to make a plan on completing my heaviest and most important assignments first. i told him i also was considering leaving after this semester or taking a break or smth, he asked me what i wanna do as a career, i said i wasn’t even sure and that i wasn’t big over what i was going to school for. anyways, yeah he tells me to use chatgpt and ask them what

Idk sounds fucked the way it came across but are we really gonna act like chat gpts guess is gonna be any worse than any counselors guess, AI MIGHT have even better guesses taking into account career viability trends going into 2030 and all that

ai will just provide me what google would, maybe some advice going into career stuff. a conversation with an actual human who can understand and maybe relate to my experiences/feelings would be much much better. regardless, his excessive use of AI is unprofessional. i don’t have a problem using AI to aid me sometimes, i DO have a problem with people who use it FOR EVERYTHING and use it to do everything FOR THEM instead of helping/aiding. maybe i’m already biased against him bc of that tho idk

exactlyyyy, i was so frustrated. and in the meeting he kept cutting me off, and the way we started talking abt careers like that’s NOT why we here. btw at the end he asked ME to make him an outline type deal of my plan to get the assignments done😑 so then i could email it to him and he can make adjustments/suggestions. no i don’t need more work on my plate im finna just do this shit however
