I’m too nice to the wrong girls. I need to learn to not give so much right away, because some people genuinely aren’t worthy of kindness, when the kindness isn’t returned.

Yes but they’re not really the same are they? IMO kindness is something you don’t expect to be repaid for, if you are a kind person you are good to those who are mean to you but you’re a nice person if you’re only good when it’s good for you too

Not hating, we have all kinda been raised with a “treat others how you want to be treated” mindset and that twists into “well I wouldn’t be rude to someone I don’t know/someone who doesn’t deserve it/ETC so why should I still be good to them after them being mean/rude/thoughtless, just reevaluat

I think you’ve created some weird rules in your own head, bud. Sure, you can make believe that people are TRULY kind for the sole purpose of some masturbatory altruism. But at the end of the day- people who are honest in their actions are kind because they want that same treatment.

Well obviously we all want to be treated nice so we are nice but if you’re only reasoning to be good is if they’re good to you, you have a smaller mindset in my opinion. Others actions shouldn’t dictate how you conduct yourself IMO.

I can tell you have a very innocent understanding of morality, which is honestly admirable. But I think we fundamentally disagree on the realities of “human decency.”
