might be an unpopular opinion, but i think girls who grew up as the only daughter in a house full of men—especially in immigrant families where patriarchy and sexism are common—often share similar struggles to eldest daughters.

if you're their only daughter then you by DEFAULT are their eldest daughter. i'm confused what you're not understanding here

yes, i’m technically the eldest daughter by default bc i’m the only daughter. but, i’m referring to the emotional labor and expectations usually placed on the first-born girl in patriarchal households. only daughters can experience that too, even if they’re the youngest sibling overall.
