It’s not like she has abandoned them. Presumably she still spends time with them.

she’s planning all of this publicity bs, I doubt she’s spending much time with her children. it’s shameful. you presume but you aren’t thinking about the time investment required to do all that. if you still disagree, I’m done. because there’s no way her children aren’t crying themselves to sleep while their only parent goes on tour over her husband’s death.

Lmao this is complete speculation, you could not possible know what the family situation is like, even still there’s something to be said about seeing your parents deal with adversity head on and without giving up. I also just don’t believe you would feel the same way if it was someone you believed in. When MLK died his wife took on the role of leading an organization despite the fact they had two young kids and I have never heard any criticism of that decision.

The reason I brought it up is to show that you would support “continuing the husbands legacy” if it was a causes you believed in, your only issue is you don’t think it’s a good cause but you have no principled stance on the matter.

I’m with you on this. If she just went quiet and abandoned his legacy it would be letting the psycho who killed him if not win at least get some of what he wanted. There’s a balancing act between a grieving family and a legacy, some can handle it and some can’t but we can’t judge that from the outside. I find most people who are vocal about the “just go be with your family.” Line really mean “just go shut up because I don’t like your ideas.”

I mean tbf, the both taught for fairness and equality for everyone, so why don’t you think it would be fair to compare the two?

u cantttt be dead ass..kirk did not want “fairness” he didn’t care about ppl of color, or women, or the lgbt community. he could care less about fair he’s just like trump and thinks the white straight man is the superior race.

Where’s the evidence of him not caring about them? His main message was that all lives matters, and we should love and care for everyone.

no YOU haven’t truly listened..idk how calling people slurs and saying black people aren’t intelligent enough to do certain things and have professional jobs is the message of “loving everyone”

He argued that dei is bad, for example if we forced the NBA to have 50% white players, really skilled black players would be over look for somewhat good white players. Also when does he call people names? examples?

Even if that is true Americans should stop with the double standard, it just makes our politics less intelligent.

True that, I think people also dont understand is that we all agree on about 90% of politics, its just the 10% that divides us

Except that DEI isn’t bad. And that “10%”? Yeah, human rights aren’t political. It’s just fascists trying to make it so so they can fuck with minorities. Something your beloved kkkirk adored.

You ignored my point on DEI, it’s very good in principle, but in practice it’s unjust. Can you show any examples of where dei was successfully, keyword successfully, implemented and the quality of work did not decrease?

Yeah, by letting people with qualifications get and hold onto jobs they wouldn’t be able to otherwise because of preference for mediocre white men.

that’s not what DEI is in today’s area though, united Airlines said they wanted 50% of their pilot students to be minorities and women. Keep in mind that we have been in a pilot shortage for years now. That means that they already want anyone any can do to do it, but because of the public statement, it appears as if the standards would be lowered to meet their quota. This can also be seen with the case with American Airlines being sued for discriminatory practices against white pilots
