General on Sidechat | schools should not punish for missing class if sick. we did zoom meetings and we can post lectures. if they have a valid doctors note, certain options should be available. punish those that come in sick bc they r risking everyone else’s health bc of this.

But also, going to the doctor every time you’re sick just to get a note isn’t really feasible for many

Aside from the cost, it takes like 3 months for me to get a doctors appointment 💀 by that point the semester’s over and I’m not sick anymore

Well unfortunately schools do punish you if you’re sick… i have a Spanish class w/ a 3% off your grade for every absence after your third rule. I did go to class sick because I had to.
