…why’s it insane to note that you have adequate understanding of material but it’s not exceptional

I don’t think they are or ever were meant to be seen as “bad” grades. I think GPAs are just so inflated and everything is so competitive that we get disappointed when we get a B now

That's not how things are graded , it's based on what percentage of question you get right usually

…and you generally get x percentage of questions right based on your understanding of the material
