Because the norm has become 14-16 yr olds with heavy make up and with clothes that are actively worn by older people (crop tops, short shorts, etc). When I was that age I got in trouble for even wanting to wear a crop top and was reminded to dress my age. The heavy make up is a big part of it too bc of eyelash extensions and foundation. Also I didn’t mean prepubescent in the literal term, im calling them babies bc they are still children

My 15 yr old cousin looks older than I am, and it’s definitely not bc of her natural face. It’s bc of the amount of make up she wears, her eyelash extensions, she dresses casually in ways I would for a club as a 22 yr old woman

well you’re using it incorrectly considering prepubescent is SPECIFICALLY only referring to someone before puberty and I’ve never heard it used otherwise. You can’t use the term without specifying and expect people not to misunderstand you

I found the secret TikTok of one of my classmates and while she was still 17 (or even 16 idk) she posted a regular vid of her dancing but her comments were full of thirsty men and one asked her to stick her tongue out for them and she did it and it got hella saves and affirmations while she was innocently not knowing that she was technically being farmed for content.
