Car insurance is a scam. I pay 900 a year and you can’t even assist with car maintenance or a new battery?!? Why am I paying then?

Insurance is really for coverage when you get into an accident

A year???? Damn that’s a good rate. I pay like $800 every 6 months. For basic coverage. Not even collision lol.

No accidents on my record, one speeding ticket that has expired in terms of it impacting me, my car is even registered under my mom who has a squeaky clean record to get me a better rate.

My car is registered under my mom and I pay biannually so it’s cheaper than a monthly rate

Right. Replacing normal wear and tear items is the car owner’s responsibility

I also pay twice a year.

True but OPs point is if we’re paying that much it should be used to help cover the car care too. Otherwise it’s essentially money down the drain that you’ll likely never use / need (hopefully)

Exactly like regular oil changes and other maintenance is fine it’s like less than a 100 but my battery dying or something…

That’s kind of the point of having insurance.
