Tell me you haven’t been Cuba without telling me you haven’t been to Cuba. They live in poverty and fear the government with everything they do. The general population struggles with basic necessities and politicians live in villas and drive Mercedes. I’ve been twice and seen it with my own eyes. Our tour guide told us about how he was put in jail at 6 years old bc his grandfather gave him eggs from a personal chicken he had (which is illegal) and authorities caught him.

Look up the declassified CIA files about the Cuban Revolution, if you dare. See how they talk about how Castro was far less cruel to his constituents than Batista was. Every criticism of socialist Cuba goes DOUBLE for the Batista regime that came before Castro. Ted Cruz said it best when he said “My dad was tortured in Cuba, I hate Communism… Well, it was actually Batista that tortured my dad” lmao
