As someone who had a single room I think i brought 3 large bins a basket of clothes plus a standing fan carpet computer monitor and mirror last year

That’s probably fine but I wouldn’t bring much more. I had one minivan super full of stuff. I also had a bathroom attached to my room and a lofted bed so maybe try to bring less if you don’t have that extra space

I think that’s plenty, honestly. I hoard a bit and always have too many things, crammed my dorms… do not recommend!

Oh and my room was a double so that was extra space too, the singles in my building were MUCH smaller

A lot of my stuff can go on the walls. I have literally everything in these boxes, including cleaning supplies, storage contraptions themselves still packaged, things like my icemaker in my air filter, all my bedding which took up a whole box by itself because I like fluffy blankets. I guess I'm just kind of embarrassed for move-in, I know it's not too much stuff but I feel like it's going to look silly lol

No definitely don’t be embarrassed, everyone is so focused on themselves during move in that they will not notice you. My school has box carts to fill and bring to your room on move in day and I filled mine multiple times, which was more than others, but nobody cares at all
