Don’t react/respond to it and consider having a conversation about how you’re an adult now and you’d rather not be referred to as whatever they’ve been calling you in front of other people.

Just don’t respond to it. If they call you by it then pretend you don’t hear and if they ask why you didn’t respond tell them thats not your name

I feel you my mom calls my bother and I poopy, poop, boob, booby, boobiss, ect and they are all completely unrelated to our actual names. She says it in front of my friends its horrible

that’s definitely the strategy i’m considering. i’m just worried because outwardly hating the nickname was what caused it to stick in the first place :(

seriously! it would be one thing it if stayed in the house but the fact they still call me that embarrassing nickname in front of guests and in public! and the other people always give me this weird look like they’re saying “they call you that? pffft” in their head
