The newly (leaked) proposed US draft plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war. It would require a permanent halt to NATO membership, give up large swaths of land to the south and east, a cap on 🇺🇦 troop #s, and creation of a demilitarized zone in Donetsk. 👎

idk man, sure? crimea and the other land bordering the black sea is really all that’s strategically valuable to russia. don’t want a repeat of WW2 with appeasement, but I doubt that will happen

The world has long left imperialism in the past. If Russia wants Ukrainian resources, make a damn deal with them. I genuinely don’t see any logic in what Russia is doing. Ukrainians are not Russians and they don’t want to BE part of Russia. Plus, permanent block to NATO ascension? Clearly, Russia is scared shitless, even more so w/o China if the Chinese people say enough with the CCP.

well yeah, we can all hope war and the thirst for land and control ends, but it won’t. Russia isn’t really the world power it used to be, and it’s rational for them to want to return to their former glory They just overextended. At least they’ll come out with something but I can’t imagine this whole conflict hasn’t been humbling for them
