I don’t understand POC joining ICE. I see videos of ICE agents and they’re African American or something else. Why would you join a force that wants you out of the country?? They’re gonna come for your ass next

I love when Leftists prove themselves to be the most racist of them all. The minute a POC steps out of line, they receive comments like this. 😂😭 So embarrassing

If your logic leads to an absurd conclusion then reexamine your reasoning and premises. This is a perfect example, the conclusions are absurd because the premise is wildly flawed. There is precisely zero evidence that ICE wants to deport anyone who’s not illegal. And precisely zero evidence that they will pivot in the future, as a matter of fact ICE operations are not occurring at a greater scale than under the Obama administration, and as we all recall Obama was indeed not white.

US citizens have been deported by mistake. And the US military killed 12,000 Americans during Vietnam by mistake. And doctors sometimes amputate the wrong limb by mistake. Pointing out that something happened, especially in the case of a large volume of related things happening does not mean that thing is intentional or malicious. Are ICE perfect? No. Are they intentionally deporting people based on color? Hell no.

legal citizens have been deported. and the people theyve deported did not get a trial or any due process.

they don’t get a trial or due process. it’s currently legal for ICE to deport without due process or a trial

It depends on how you define due process. An illegal alien is not guaranteed a full jury trial in the case of arrest and deportation. They have the right to an immigration hearing and have certain legal protections and privileges. But once that hearing is concluded due process is satisfied. People often confuse the term “due process” with the idea of a full trial and a lengthy process in the justice system, that’s not what it means.

But as I said, evidence of mistakes is not evidence of malice. I don’t contest that mistakes have been made, law enforcement makes mistakes every day. But pointing to a few examples of procedural failures doesn’t prove that those failures were intentional. “Wants” was the key term, there are ~41,000 car related deaths in the US each year. That isn’t evidence of 41,000 intentional deaths, just because something happens doesn’t prove intent.

not quite. majority of deportation cases are expedited removals, where they don’t even get a right to an immigration hearing

But it’s not semantics, it’s actually the opposite of semantics. These terms are of fundamental importance to understanding the issue at hand.

No one is more racist than an “anti racist” who’s just been disagreed with by a minority. Just like no one is more sexist than a feminist who’s just been disagreed with by a woman.

I’m not being racist. It’s just surprising that POC who are oppressed are choosing to be part of ICE. ICE, the very people who want POC out of our country. Why would you join a cause that is eventually going to be against you?

It is racist to assume that being a POC automatically means you are here illegally. You have a lot of internal racism to unpack.

I’m sorry but that’s not what I’m saying. I don’t believe that. I’m saying that if you’re a POC and working as ICE, you’re going against your own people and values. A documented POC vs other documented POCs. As a POC you already know how you are discriminated against white people so why would you inflict that pain on others

Working against your own people and values… no. That’s not how that works. POC are not intrinsically tied to people who cross the border illegally, a law abiding person is a law abiding person. Black white brown green, there is no intrinsic connection between someone who follows the law and someone who breaks it because they both happen to have more melanin than another person.
