This is the laziest whataboutism. “Other countries have done bad things too so we’re allowed to do full blown genocide when we want”. Really? And yeah I did know about the Uyghur internment camps, I’ve known for years and I’ve openly opposed that too. You’re justifying it by defending it and shifting focus away to other acts of violence and oppression. We’re not talking about other countries. We’re talking about israel and their genocide and their loss of legitimacy as a state. Not to mention that the uyghur camps, which you don’t even know well enough to spell right, are nowhere near close to the scale of destruction and oppression that israel is forcing on Palestinians

Uighur is a dated way of spelling it and Uyghurs themselves prefer it spelled with a Y. Weird that you’d spell it that way if you were just a random college student reading up on current events.
