Diamond rings are an overrated conspiracy by De Beers to gain an additional outlet to sell their absolute overpriced stock of small diamonds. If they sold them at value commensurate with supply, diamonds would be rather affordable. Anyways, it’s up to you if you want them or not. Point is, you don’t need a spouse in order to go get a ring.
