Bro read the comment. When did i say “celebrate people dying in wars” unless u think we steered WW2? You’re also completely missing the point of my message. Celebrate it for the things you love about it. THATS what the USA is. Also, im not gonna pretend that we haven’t done our fair share of horrible things, but goddamn celebrate the people who make the commitment to serve their country where it needs them, whenever it needs them. It takes incredible bravery.

Or we could not set off fireworks that fuck with the mental health of many, many people— including the vets you’re trying to prop up. Let’s celebrate by ensuring people aren’t sent off to die or become disabled/forgotten, that power vacuums aren’t left abroad, that weapons of life-ending destruction are not created. The US is a fucking mistake and doesn’t deserve celebration.

A paedophile conman runs the show, half the country is too obsessed with the genitals of strangers to focus on the fact that we’re all fucking being driven into the ground by capitalistic pressure that only sees as as dollar signs, healthcare isn’t accessible, education is failing, food swamps and deserts are worse than ever, and you want to rid this hellhole of the people who want to see it be better? We can recognise that something is repugnant and not respectable and still want to fix it.

you’re legitimately missing the entire point of my comment. Love the country for the things that make it great. Acting like there is nothing great about the united states is simply wrong. There are incredible things about the country, you just need to stop having this mentality of “everything sucks” and actually start appreciating the aspects of the country that make it great.
