ok so to #1 and 2, should we have a terf league and then a regular peeps league? I went through male puberty, if i took estrogen or hormone blockers right now i bet several hundred women could beat my ass in whatever sport i trained for. I’m in decent shape, with a body that theoretically could be “un fair” but that alone is not winning. it’s also so comically funny that because you don’t like someone and are being prejudiced you think you should dictate their experience in society
Yall want no people who have any testosterone? make your own league. Keep your bigotry out of sports cause you can’t compete. Are there potentially athletes claiming to be trans to win competitions? maybe honestly i’m not locked in enough to know. But honestly most of these women just want to compete in the category they belong in instead of having to compete in the wrong category. A trans woman who is using hormones would be a handicap in men’s sport, y’all’s doping argument has no basis when
WHAT????? dumbasses attempt to keep consistent logic challenge failed once again. Misogyny? So you’re saying trans men should be in the same category as women? They’d be people who went through female puberty and then start pumping them selves with testosterone (it’s more complicated and not simple) which feels almost identical to your argument against trans women. Like ideally we’d have co ed sports and there may be divisions where they are inter gendered and then all “male” all “female” where
where it’s based on hormones. Cause to your “biological precondition” bullshit there is some truth to it because not everyone is born with the same starting conditions. A (theoretical) man may have more estrogen that another or a woman may have more testosterone than another. Does that vastly change their competitiveness? maybe. I think it’s very nuanced and upbringing and access to sports play just as much of an advantage
No. Trans men on T should be free to compete in male or open events, because it counts as doping within female events. My stance is consistent here. As I said, it requires nuance. Not every trans person is the same, nor every sport. The blanket “let people compete as the gender they want to” is absolutely not the best solution we can work out here.
It would be left up to the individual league to decide how to handle the ruling as each sport and league will have different constraints, resources, and athlete populations. So it’s not ultimately up to us to decide how it’s done here. If a league does decide it’s unfair for someone that went through male puberty to compete in a female division, regardless of current hormone treatments, would you accept that league’s ruling and take your own advice to “make your own league”?
