Yup I love Texas. It’s where I’m born and raised but I’ve been ready to leave. I feel like maybe I’ll come back later down the line to settle down and get old but I’m tired of all the bs here

minus the heat, bugs, and distance between places i’d actually like it(just not East Texas Houston)but the political climate is awful. Wages are kept low, companies can do whatever the fuck they want, no legal weed, lack of support for mental health or actual healthcare, attacks on women’s bodies, and so much more make this place difficult

Yeah the politics is what really kills the State for me. If it wasn’t so bad i’d just move to Hill Country which is way nicer than Houston. Also it may have a strong economy but wages are low and it’s only a few sectors we shine in really
