I don’t understand why people care so much about suppressing things they just don’t understand. I don’t get the appeal of religion but I know it’s important to many people, and it’s their choice whether or not they want to be a part of something like that. As long as nobody’s being hurt, why do you care about people living their own lives and being unique individuals instead of forcing themselves into a mold

The problem is digital media has changed how we interact with each other and everybody is afraid that the other “side” has been so radicalized that they’re just crazy and fervently foaming at the mouth, when in fact we all want the same shit, just have some slightly different ways of going about it, frankly I don’t think either side has all the answers and it’s likely probably a middle ground where we can find common ground and mutual respect for each other.

i don’t think most people would disagree the answer is “somewhere in the middle” the problem is the minority of either side tend to be the loudest. both sides are at a point where they got stretched so beyond what they’re realistically comfortable with that we see a shit load of snapback.
