Im just saying in general, taking them to a bar you frequently visited as a minor is a bit crazy

Not like they didn’t know, they just didn’t care as long as I tipped good, drank responsibly, and the fact that I was best friends with most of them helped a lot too

Nevermind that literally all bars have signs that say “no minors.” You’re still legally a minor *in some ways* (specifically weed, alcohol, gambling, etc) until you’re 21 in this country

yea bud idk what state you live in but every state i’ve lived in those signs literally meant minors. or the place specifically says 21+. went to plenty of places with my family under 21 and they let me in even though it said no minors

You are correct, she was underaged. Being a minor in a bar setting can be applied to people under the age of 21.

Hi i was talking about a minor in regards to the legal age that you are supposed to be while drinking and in bars.

“Minor may also be used in contexts that are unconnected to the overall age of majority. For example, the smoking and drinking age in the United States is 21, and younger people below this age are sometimes called minors in the context of tobacco and alcohol law, even if they are at least 18” from Wikipedia. Legally you are still a minor under 21 in the contexts of alcohol

In addition, the actual “no minor” signage actually specifies people under 21, usually using language like “no person under the age of 21 may be permitted to enter” at least on the signs in my area. Either laws are different where you are, the places you went to are lenient, or you were only allowed because you were with your parents. Very likely you would not be allowed without them

dude. i didn’t say you were wrong. i just said that’s never applied anywhere i lived…it was not that serious

also almost anywhere is lenient if you’re an 18+ girl where i live now so there’s also that

If you know I’m right why were you arguing with #2 over what defines a minor

We’re talking about legal definitions… places breaking the law are irrelevant to the discussion….
