Ya I’m not proud of myself but what am I supposed to do? Never date again because I’m still in love with someone from 5 years ago ?

Well…yes in a way. You’re supposed to find a way to move on that doesn’t involve harming someone else. Like idk going to therapy. And then date after you’re moved on. You’re only hurting your current girlfriend by dating her while you’re still in love with someone else. Even if she doesn’t know, she’ll eventually find out because you can’t keep that front up forever. Very selfish of you to allow someone else to fall in love with you when you’re still stuck on your past.

Okay but I have been to therapy. Just because I have spoken with a therapist doesn’t mean my feelings for a person have gone away

My point still stands. You shouldn’t be dating if you’re not over your ex. Again, incredibly selfish to put someone else’s feelings on the line to benefit yourself when you know you’ll never love her like you love you ex, and if your ex came back to you you’d leave your current girlfriend in a heartbeat.
