when the majority of your audience still thinks the couple is together after a breakup scene, you know you did it very poorly

I mean I thought it was great but that’s just my opinion. I guess some people have never been in a relationship where u love someone so deeply but u aren’t meant to be together and sometimes saying the words “break up” is too hard but u both know it’s beyond repair. Aside from that, they have HELLLAAAA context clues that it was a breakup so idk how so may ppl missed those
