tbh the actors are just so in love w each other😭 "will you not marry me" read to me as "lets fix our shit some other way because whatever we're doing rn is not working" and ofc breaking up is one possible 'fix' but it wasnt solidified in my head. i think the thing that made me think it was a breakup and look it up to confirm was the fact that he just left the ring there

It rlly wasn’t that hard to get, they talked about all their lies to each other about hey they aren’t similar, they were tied through shared trauma, how they wanted space and thrived in it, and then Jonathan proposing was the biggest. He literally said I thought proposing would fix us but it won’t. They clearly have a lot of love for each other but it’s not romantic anymore

Apparently I’m autistic or something because I was very confused watching the scene. I knew their relationship was changed, but not that they really truly separated. It gave more of “let’s stay together and figure out who we are with some space instead of being in a serious relationship” instead of “Let’s break up rn”
