I hate that Stranger Things became so popular. It was supposed to be a show for outcasts and weirdos but then it became too mainstream and popular people started liking it

Lowkey yes. A bunch of neurotypical NPCs who don’t know how to fandom got into it

My bf said this sameeeee thing and yup the show got so big the people outside the target audience started watching and hated the last season bc they didn’t understand the point. And the people that get it get it, I feel sorry for those who don’t

I posted this somewhere else on here and someone said it’s on the largest streaming platform in the world. What do I say?

And I honestly think the writers started catering to this neurotypical NPC audience once they latched onto it and that is why the later seasons feel so different from the first. That and they got so much money that they weren’t told “no” and i feel like being told “no” often results in the best art due to improv and problem solving

But it’s on Netflix, one of the worlds largest streaming platforms. So it couldn’t have remained hidden for long right? I think that’s what they’re saying

So why hasn’t the same thing happened to Supernatural? Or literally any other show on Netflix?

Nothing! It’s moreso the people that are hating on the show so much like especially this season the hate was really bad. It’s one thing to express your opinions but it gets to a point. I think it’s bc they r trying to compare the show to other shows that are similar and it’s reached way farther than the target audience
