they’re doing kali so dirty by bringing her back after all the hate she got for her episode. like specifically the actress had it BAD and they brought her back knowing dam well what their script was gonna make us perceive her as while she’s already generally unliked as a character…………

kids storyline. okay sure whatever. More Will’s. i was interested in the holly stuff and it was a good way to rope Max back in instead of if it just being a coma + building an army vibes for the final battle. but DAMN we barely see the OG cast cuz it’s 99% holly and dipshit Derek 😭

the coming out scene was so awk/fanservice. like why was half of Hawkins there. also I don’t think they’ve been dropping breadcrumbs that he’s 🌈 but rather that he’s different bc of what happened in szn 1 but then Noah came out and the fans were like “☝️Omg” so duffers were like Ok trueee that’s what we meant all along 😁😁

but also yes it was cringe/rushed/out of place/unnecessarily the “big” thing of vol 2 . but also how he felt was lowkey relatable for my experience coming out 😭😭😭😭 just executed really awkwardly and poorly it felt like some woke AF writer took over for this scene 😭

just wandering around following the group trying to plop these ideas in El’s head 😭😭 like I get it Kali has trauma and stuff but like she legit was not mentioned from the end of her episode up until they opened that dam door 😭 I feel like there had to be SOMETHING else they coulda done instead of dragging her back up. but maybe my opinion will change if she switches up how they’re presenting her rn in the finale

1. It’s fiction so it’s not gonna to be 100% realistic. In this case, if she had woken up any earlier, they wouldnt be able to give max and Lucas a good scene reuniting bc the demos were chasing them and they’d have to worry about that. Plus if she woke up before Karen threw the O2 tank in, demos likely wouldn’t have been as distracted by it bc they’d know max was awake. It was annoying to watch but made 100% sense they held her there for a bit longer in this story.

Thinking this way helps me enjoy the show more because if you are nitpicky over every “unrealistic” thing, the show will be unenjoyable so it’s important to remember the show is still fiction at the end of the day and isn’t gonna mirror reality 100% so just enjoy it and try to understand why some things are the way they are

Also the entire group was there bc Vecna was planning to use that info against will so he had to tell everyone so they would be able to understand what Vecna was doing and there wouldn’t be surprises when Vecna pulls out that card. I think they did a good job showing that the coming out scene clearly meant more to some characters. Like when they were going around saying “u won’t lose me” it was only a few of the main cast instead of someone like Murray being like “u won’t lose me either”
