As much as I love the force unleashed games (and books!) it probably wouldn’t lead to anything else. Not that everything needs to connect to or start a new thing since that leads to franchise fatigue, but I know if we got it I’d probably feel a little empty since I’d just want 𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙀. Really tough decision but I think the whole clone wars could actually have more potential in terms of content.
Also because I sadly feel like if we did get The Force Unleashed III, it sadly wouldn’t be handled by a main developer team, and get pawned off to some other studio like Star Wars Outlaws was. That game managed to waste a lot of potential for just being a one-shot story, I don’t want to see what poor writing would do to the assumed conclusion of a trilogy. Also because Disney really doesn’t like violence in any Star Wars game, at least not as visceral as TFU II was.
Personally I’d love to see The Force Unleashed III, but I feel like a full clone wars game in the same style as the skywalker saga has a much better chance at being really good. If it was still the original team working on TFU III for writing and gameplay than I might feel differently though. Yeah TFU II was way too short, I think we all agree on that, but the gameplay in terms of powers, set pieces/level design, and combat, and the costumes, is some of the coolest we’ve ever seen.
I definitely agree with you on the fact that TFU III would probably not end up being all that great due to the fact that I doubt the higher-ups would really invest in its development compared to another Jedi:___ game If they were to give it the resources it deserves then I’d pick that one. I also know what you mean by Disney, not liking violence. Not like the games were ever close to an M rating (RIP Darth Maul game, you will be missed) I doubt we’d get even close tot he same powers.
