Filoni has some good work in the past, but I fear he’s going to get too focused on his own personal headcanons and ocs and over complicate everything leaving Star Wars stuck in the same spot running the same stories. He’s definitely going to lose a pretty big chunk of the casual viewers (which let’s face it, casual viewers make up more of the Star Wars fanbase than the die hard fans. Just the die hard fans are the loudest)

I mean, I was never really a fan of Filoni since he oversaw the shitcanning of the CWMMP during CW08. Rebels didn’t help. Mando fell off when S2 onward became “memberberries: the show,” and the less said about Book of Boba Fett, the better.

Further more, even if Filoni has good plans and stories in mind, those won’t matter as long as Star Wars is under Disney. Disney will and always will be money and pleasing the shareholders first, art and story are the last things on their minds. While Kennedy didn’t make the best choices, it is ultimately Disney and their shareholders pulling the strings. So it doesn’t really matter who sits in the Star Wars chair :/
