I think Disney sorta of backed themselves into a corner with the OT characters because they all either failed at their missions or regressed back into old habits. Though I think it would be cool to have something like a show or movie or something to show the rise of Luke’s Jedi order and him doing really cool Jedi shit and having it all, but then all a sudden it crumbles to the ground and he runs away providing more depth to his situation in TLJ.

But honestly, I think Disney is too afraid to touch anything with the OT characters because the previous times they did, they’ve received a shit ton of backlash. They simply just don’t know how to handle it. What could be cool is if they made a “non canon”animated series based around Legends books! The books did some really wild (sometime ridiculous) things that would look so cool/fun in an animated format.
