there’s always things you can do, but that few sororities makes movement rly hard

Sorry if this rubs anyone the wrong way, but choose based on looks

yeahhh thats been the big issue — ppl will drop out bc sorority life doesnt matter too much rather than sticking through rush

i wld say a rly good strategy is to focus on marketing. my chapter was bouse a while ago but if u put like 50% effort into recruitment, 30% into marketing, 20% into the frats and you do just that for like 3 years yall will be in way better shape

marketing in terms of portraying ourselves/insta?

I hate that we care about men’s opinions of the girls in our sisterhoods.

I hate to say it, but from my experience it’s the girls that judge even harder than the men

Not all girls, and still that’s taking in the influence of men’s opinions.

No, I mean girls will choose to rush or rank a sorority based on looks. So it’s not wrong for the sorority to also choose and hand out bids based on looks, because the better a sorority looks the more attractive it is for new members and the more they want to be part of something like that. It’s not taking into consideration men’s opinions. It’s taking into consideration what potential new members find appealing.

Ah I see. You mean from a PNM perspective? Personally I just wanted to go to the most friendly and accepting place(s), and diversity (whether racial, ethnic, body type, etc.) was an added plus. Ik a girl who said throughout recruitment she thought to herself “would I be comfortable if I was in a bikini rn around all these girls” to judge if she felt comfortable and like she belonged.
