Use CLR.

It also could be calcium buildup so soaking the shower head in vinegar can help break down the minerals :)

I never tried vinegar,I always use heavy duty chemicals.

I grew up poor so my parents always found other cheaper ways to fix stuff and where I live, there is always so much calcium build up 😭
