YESSS charles is a huge inspo for him! His name is Vincent Holata-Friedrich Kelly, he was born in 1898, and he was a father of four and WWI veteran. He became infamous for carrying a decapitated head in the trenches in self-defense, which led to his image being plastered in French propaganda. Due to his devout Catholic faith, he refused to acknowledge he was gay and lived in the closet, being chronically depressed for the majority of his life. He died in late 2002 at the age of 104.

Also the cheek scar was from a bayonet attack in 1915 and he was almost completely blind :>
