Use more different colors to create depth

having reflected light in the shadowy side of the face like on the upper cheekbone could help

i think you need more lines and textures? like you have the colors correct and in the right spaces but it’s too smooth

Changing your background color should help. Bright white tends to wash things out and it’s probably visually throwing your off since the reference has a dark color

i would use some darker colors to emphasize depth like with the lips and lines in the face. i usually use a darker shade of brown to indicate a crease then shade it out a bit

also adding some highlight the outmost points of the face like cheeks nose and forehead

You’re using procreate, just hold down on the image with your Apple Pencil and it’ll sample the pixel color directly
