before you spend money on more pencils you should try layering over burnished colors! i did this piece with i think 4-5 shades (and charcoal obvi lol)

ty!! i might make some edits tomorrow because i made the spot around the left eye too dark, but i plan on drawing another variant of this bear cuz i found more photos of it with this colorful fish

i need more neutral shades which i unfortunately can’t perfectly make by layering colored pencil, i don’t have a deep gray and a deeper toned warmer gray :-( but also i love obtaining more are supplies so this is just encouraging me to go to the art store hehe
