i've always thought of it as going past flat colors. shading, highlights, little details, etc. when people list commission prices they usually separate flat colors and rendered pieces

Ive always defined ‘render’ as a means to complete a drawing or painting. Like a full fleshed out artwork if that makes sense

Rendering is the process of adding shadows, highlights, and very fine details like hair texture or even skin texture

Bruh no shade all they did was change the skin tone and the hair. Think abt where the light is coming from and how that affects shadows and highlights. When they make us draw cubes and spheres thats what theyre training us to do with organic shapes and figures. Respectfully

Respectfully, I know. This is just what I had on hand (the shirt has plenty of shading, shorts, and leggings also have shading, as well as adding blush to mult parts) and there are many rendering styles but here. Let me provide some rendered hair and skin for your viewing pleasure
