One of my professors is an Israeli who initially left on a student visa because he opposed the regime. He only got to stay here because he scored a professorship. I hate Israel as much as the next guy, but there’s good people like him who are stuck in that country, and they’ll get caught in the crossfire. Just like how leftist Americans are stuck under Trump. We should be anti-war, not pro one side of it.

Fuck her, but bombs kill indiscriminately. They kill children and kind people too. What about anti-genocide Israeli citizens and residents? They don’t deserve to die just because of their government and shitty neighbors. I get that you’re probably just venting but this is getting too real and I feel like this kind of talk normalizes the abhorrent Don’t get me wrong though, fuck her

anti genocide israelis is a small sliver of them because it’s a settler colony with polls that are available to us

Every innocent death is a great tragedy, no matter its proportion. The moment we start justifying those deaths as “collateral damage” is the moment we start to sound suspiciously like the IDF. It’s a very dangerous line of thinking to fall into.

you guys are all are so enlightened. “an eye for an eye is bad will make the world go blind”. we look at you through white phosphorus. surely this refutes the polls. bc the decolonization of our lands and villages is somehow reducible to symmetrical, recursive ‘revenge’. either way, no one EVER said that israelis should be subjected to what they do to us every sec. they do need to be deradicalized though; a lot of settler colonies and genocidal ethnostates will be re-educated.

you cannot stop the engine of history from veering inexorably towards emancipation, and decolonization. the shape that decolonization takes is the harvest that the settler has sown. read frantz fanon as well

I’m in favor of decolonization. I just don’t want to trivialize the topic of bombing civilians. I’m sorry if it’s nickpicky but I believe our language and jokes matter. I’ll check out Frantz Fanon, thank you

To be clear, I understand the necessity of self defense in liberation. But I feel that we should treat it with the weight that it carries

to each their own i guess but this post is innocuous and it’s honestly a non-issue. and it also assumes that all bombing is indiscriminate. that’s just a colonizer tactic, which is deployed by usa and israel to demoralize and destroy civilian life and force the people into submission / clear the land for development. no one else stoops to settler colonies’ level, especially indigenous people. this is to the colonizer’s benefit, bc both usa/israel are rogue states. one must be a rabid dog.

if ur not a rabid dog or fail to establish deterrence (with 2nd strike capability) your state is at risk of regime change at the baseline.
