personally i cried watching hr bc i thought it was actually insane to be able to have a sex scene like that of two gay and very obviously masculine men in other media the gay couples tend to always follow the feminine/masculine stereotype but thats literally two dudes the plot line where shane tried to force himself to be w a woman and physically couldnt? him apologizing for it?? promising his mother he tried his hardest??? sobs.

I’m just so confused as to why this is a a hot take 😭 maybe my standards are too high? I just wish there was at least a modicum of initial character building and slow burn before they had back to back 5 min sex scenes— like why were they fucking 2 mins into the showwww??
