About 50% of the world has HSV1 (oral herpes). That is not the same as HSV2 which is the bad kind. You might have it but it just lays dormant in your system until something triggers it. Like the girl with the vape, she’ll be fine. Just take some meds and you won’t have to deal with it. It’s not contagious if you don’t have an outbreak.

fewer than like 12% of people under 25 get tested. i recall around 25% of women under age 25 get tested (i know the stat is close to the age number). roughly 20% of people in the US have STDs, with estimates almost definitely being low given we know how infrequently people get tested in general. i don't really know about stats for all ages so educate me if i'm wrong but "most" seems far far far from the truth
