her parents tried, but her dad works out of the country and her mom doesn't speak English and cops don't take immigrants or missing brown girls seriously

I haven’t heard anything about this from any news outlets or anyone legally involved with the case but what I really meant was how an 11 year old was in a “relationship” with a grown man for so long and no one knew. Or people did and they did nothing or not enough. It’s sad

Social media was right there. Many families of color resort to social media/their community when even their local PD won’t look into their missing child. It shouldn’t be like that, at all. But it is. And mind you, after pictures of her DID go up-so many came out and connected her to D4VD. To think that if only anyone acted earlier, she might’ve still been here
